It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces Francesca Manglaviti’s departure as CEO of Crohn’s & Colitis Australia effective, 23 April 2018.
Since 2006, Francesca has played a critical role in the development and success of the organisation. While we will miss Francesca and her inspiring leadership, we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours and know that she will succeed in anything she puts her name to. We want to thank Francesca for the 12 years of dedicated and extraordinary service which involved many significant accomplishments, far too many to list.
As a Board, we can attest to just how transformative Francesca has been for the organisation, taking it from a paper newsletter and support line to the professional, respected, collaborative and engaged peak representative body it is today, and the sought out voice of not just patients, but also health professionals, industry and government. Her legacy cannot be understated. Her extraordinary leadership and professionalism have been the bedrock of this organisation.
Francesca has helped educate, lead and inspire staff, members and board directors and at all times, engaged them on the journey of CCA’s growth. For this, our members, staff and board of directors cannot express their gratitude enough.
Over the next few months, with Francesca’s assistance and commitment, the Board will be conducting a search to find the right CEO for the next growth phase of CCA’s journey.
During this transition period, it is our priority to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a stable and effective organisation. We will share the job announcement soon and ask for your help in identifying candidates who can help CCA continue along this successful trajectory of growth.
Again, we cannot thank Francesca enough for the dedication, passion, enthusiasm and motivation she has given CCA the past 12 years. She will be greatly missed by the staff, Board, members and partners alike.
We look forward to following the success of her career, and are hopeful and excited for the next chapter in CCA’s story as we continue to support our community in the very important work we do.
If you have any questions or concerns during this transition process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at [email protected].
