CCA is working in collaboration with The James Lind Alliance to identify the top 10 research priorities of people with IBD, carers and healthcare professionals.
The first stage of this project involved a survey for IBD patients, carers and healthcare professionals, which aimed to collect questions about IBD that will help identify the most common unanswered research questions. We are grateful to over 200 people living with IBD, carers and healthcare professionals who submitted almost 900 questions or concerns they have about IBD.
A second survey will then prioritise these questions and a final list of the top 10 unanswered research questions will be shared with researchers and research funders. This will encourage them to focus on the most urgent and relevant needs of people living with IBD with a view to attracting more research funding to IBD.
Updates on the project will be available on this page in the future and the opportunity to participate in the second survey will be advertised on CCA website and social media channels soon.
This innovative project is being developed by CCA in partnership with Australian stakeholders using a proven methodology established by the James Lind Alliance and being adapted with the JLA Lab.
This project is supported by Janssen, Takeda and a generous anonymous philanthropist.
