Involve your workplace

Corporate volunteering

Engaging your staff in volunteering activities is a wonderful way for your employees to make a difference in the community.  Some of the corporate volunteering opportunities with Crohn’s & Colitis Australia include:

  •     General administration
  •     Data entry
  •     Fundraising
  •     Workplace giving
  •     Awareness raising

From time to time, we offer skilled volunteering opportunities and we will advertise those opportunities as they arise.

Crohn’s & Colitis Australia appreciates the support of our existing Corporate Supporters and Volunteers and extends an invitation to other corporate organisations to contact us to discuss a corporate volunteer partnership.

Volunteers speak about their experience

Brett Divall, National Australia Bank

At NAB we are lucky enough to be provided with the opportunity to take time off each year to complete volunteer work and to support a charity of our choice.

I was recently involved in a volunteering opportunity with Crohn’s & Colitis Australia. The volunteer day was a mail out of their quarterly magazine that is sent out to their members. While stuffing thousands of magazines into envelopes may not sound that exciting, the people around you and the charity you are helping is what really makes the day enjoyable. It is not the first time I have volunteered at Crohn’s & Colitis Australia and it will not be the last time either.

On the day NAB provided 4 volunteers, all from different departments. It is not only a great networking experience within your own organisation but it is really good to learn about a disease that impacts 75,000 Australians and their families. I live with Ulcerative Colitis and have done for many years so for me it is really positive to see what the charity is doing and how it is changing people’s understanding of the disease. With a focus on confidential support programs including education, advocacy, counselling, increasing awareness and generating and utilising funds for research & support it certainly does make me proud to continue to volunteer at such an organisation that has such a positive impact on people.
