About The Role
Crohn’s & Colitis Australia is seeking a dynamic and customer service focussed person to join our small energetic team to oversee a range of the programs supporting people with IBD and coordinate and grow our diverse volunteer team.

This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic and operational support and direction to programs integral to the mission of CCA, many of which are supported by a large team of volunteers. You will be a self starter with excellent people skills and knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.

As the Volunteer & Programs Co-ordinator, you will be working closely with the Project Manager and Communications Manager:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Volunteer Framework
  • Manage and execute programs, in line with CCA mission
  • Recruit, train and manage teams of volunteers
  • Implement and analyse effective reports and activities

Experience and skills required:

  • Leading and development of volunteer teams
  • Experience in a counselling or psychology role
  • Project management skills including delivering results and time management
  • Excellent relationship building skills and sound customer service ability
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, health related or volunteer management discipline

Positiion Description: Volunteer and Programs Co-ordinator.

Sponsorship & Partnerships Co-ordinator

  • Securing new sponsors, partners and participants
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role working in a NFP or FMCG environment
  • Part time – 0.5 EFT (2.5 days – equivalent to 19 hours per week)
  • Contract role until end October 2018 (option to extend)

The Sponsorship & Partnerships Co-ordinator will ensure the success of CCA’s events and activities through securing new sponsors, partners and participants to events including Silver Lining Breakfast, Online Silver Lining Challenge, Bread for Change, Kids camps. It is also expected to securing sponsors/partners for CCA’s social enterprise – Gut Smart.

This is a new role reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Community Fundraising & Events Co-ordinator.

The position will develop and negotiate sponsorship and marketing proposals with new and existing corporate partners. They will maintain accurate records and report regularly on activities. Achievement of income targets will be conducted in an ethical and customer centric way, in line with CCA’s values.

Experience & skills required

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role working in a NFP or FMCG environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication with strong relationship/partnership building experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing marketing collateral and sponsorship proposals to secure new sponsors aligned with sponsor and CCA priorities.
  • Commitment to work within and support the fundamental purpose, vision and values of CCA.
  • Self-motivated with the ability work to achieve financial targets, while maintaining integrity and high level of customer service
  • Excellent relationship building skills and sound customer service ability.
  • Proven presentation, negotiation and liaison skills.
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, sponsors, members, donors and volunteers to produce desired outcomes.
