Feedback from our National Members' Survey highlighted the challenges faced when gaining access to toilets. Crohn's and Colitis Australia (CCA) has responded to this by relaunching the "Can't Wait" Card. Our National Awareness Week Campaign provided the perfect opportunity to launch the new card, and obtain support from national organisations and peak industry bodies.

The "Can't Wait" card explains that you need to access a toilet urgently due to your medical condition, and we encourage you to present the card when required. Given that the largest number of incidents was reported at petrol stations, supermarkets, retail outlets, shopping strips and cafes, we are extremely pleased to announce that we have secured support from the following organisations:

Ritchie's Supermarkets
The Master Grocers Association
Motor Trade Association of WA
Australian Retailers Association
Service Station Association

We will continue to source affiliates with petrol stations, supermarkets and shopkeepers in order to provide better access to toilet facilities, and help people living with Crohn's and colitis.

This is a huge community awareness campaign. If you are a member of CCA, you will automatically receive the Can't Wait card, and you are in the best position to educate retailers. We encourage you to advocate for yourself, and hope that by relaunching the card, we provide you with the tools, credibility, confidence and support to ask for access to the facilities that you need.

If you have a good or bad experience using the card, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback presents us with a great opportunity to either acknowledge a supporter or to educate a less supportive business.
